We’re focusing on the topic of sales letters for the next couple of days.
The product creation challenge is winding down; we have about 8 weeks left and you’ll need to write a sales letter, if you haven’t already.
- On Day 46, I talked about features and benefits.
- On Day 47, I shared a simple recipe for creating sales letters.
Write Your Story
Today, I’m going to ask that you come up with a story on WHY you’re creating the product you’re getting ready to release. What problem DID you experience that required you to make this product?
Perhaps, you didn’t make the product because you were suffering, but you noticed others within the marketplace where suffering and as a result you knew this product would help.
Whether you decided to create this product because you needed it at one time or you noticed others needed it, it’s time to write that story down.
That’s your homework for today! Tell me the story behind the reason you’re creating this specific product.
You can either write it down using pen and paper. Fire up MS Word and type it in or use Dragon Naturally Speaking to dictate it if that works better for you, but get it done! 🙂
My story stems from the #1 problem with article marketing and that’s how I’m going to depict it in my sales letter. Here’s my rough draft:
The #1 Problem with Article Marketing
The main problem are the people who prey on the newcomers just so they can make a quick buck. They teach the unsuspecting that it’s okay to spin the same article hundreds of times and to submit them to multiple article directories using automated software.
In turn, this fills article directories with rehashed content, causes unnecessary work for the directory staff, and makes it harder for publishers to locate unique content that’s worth reprinting.
Frankly, you’re not giving yourself a chance when you use article spinners or automated software. Publishers don’t want to sift through countless duplicates of one article – they want original, uniquely written content they can serve to their readers.
Additionally, article directories don’t care for automated submissions. Most directories have the automated submissions going straight to the trash bin! Take your article marketing seriously and submit them by hand or hire someone to do it for you.
Like anything else in business, article marketing takes time and it’s pays off dearly when you do it right! Get it wrong and you’ll never reap the benefits that article marketing provides.
Here’s how to do article marketing the right way…
This is the exact reason why I’m creating my workshop. I’m tired of watching people do article marketing the wrong way. It’s time someone led them down the right path. 🙂
