Today is day number one of Tiffany Dow’s video challenge or v-log challenge, whichever you prefer.
It’s the scariest thing I’ve ever done. And quite frankly, you need not watch it if you prefer not to. I added a snippet of text below that shares what I talked about in the video.
Basically, this is a short “introduction” video of yours truly.
Video Challenge – Day #1 from Bonnie Gean
Why I Decided to Create Video After 22 Years
I’ve been on the Internet writing and creating content – being a helper since the early 1990’s. And sadly, this is the first video I have produced with my face on it because I let fear hold me back.
Then, I encountered Tiffany who has been an inspiration to me in so many ways. Through her (recent) gentle prodding, I have agreed to try video blogging and participate in her video challenge.
I realize that video would play an important part in promoting my business. And yet, I still resisted the idea to sit down in front of the video camera to talk to you and for that… I apologize.
I don’t consider myself pretty. I don’t have the best looking hair (thanks to the weather outside in Michigan) and I certainly don’t have a centerfold body.
These reasons, (okay, maybe not the Michigan weather) kept me from sitting in front of a video camera for a very long time. I also realize, as a result of my inhibitions, my business is suffering because it could be doing better with the use of video – and I intend to change that with Tiffany’s help (and yours too)!
I made the video short because my partner was due home shortly before I sat to make it. Besides, I knew I was going to edit the video like crazy until I was ready to bless YouTube with it. ROFL
If you had the gumption to sit and listen to this first video – bless your heart and thank you!
I look forward to seeing you in video #2.
Thanks for reading,
