Hi Bonnie, I’ve been going through your list of tutorials and I’m really impressed with the amount of help you provide here. However I was looking for a tutorial I thought I had seen here on a previous visit and I can’t find it.
It’s about uploading a report to my blog. Did you have a tutorial on that? I’ll be checking for your reply. Thank you Bonnie

Hiya Bonnie. Sorry about the delay as I couldn’t find the website! It was something that was sent to my inbox for who know who (!) but as I am quite short I had a quick look!! LOL
Anyway, at the bottom of their page they have a button that says: CLICK HERE FOR INSTANT ACCESS which,as I said, looks so much better than simply Click here in blue. The website is: emmashealthreviews.com/reviews/does-grow-taller-4-idiots-really-work-or-is-it-a-scam/

Okay, I see the image. This calls for two tutorials. One to show you how to create the button graphic and another one to show you how to upload it to your blog and LINK it somewhere. 🙂
Before I go ahead and do it, I want to make certain this is what you want. Is it? 🙂

It’s not too much trouble at all, Ann. You do realize though, that I will probably use Gimp to show you how to make the button. Right? 🙂
And then a second video to show you how to upload it to your blog and paste it onto a page and/or post. Is this good?

    Hi Bonnie.
I have recently seen on a website that they have a button saying “Click here for instant access” instead of just giving a link in blue using the chain link key on WP.
Do you have a tutorial for that? It looks so much more professional.
Thanks again for all you valuable help.

First, many themes offer “shortcodes” that allow bloggers to create buttons instead of links that lead to other pages on their blog. The theme I’m using does that, but I chose not to use them. 🙂
Then, some people create graphic buttons to do the same job. Unless I know specifically what you’ve seen, it would be hard for me to create a tutorial for you. Can you pinpoint where you spotted this button and perhaps share a link with me?
      Thanks!

When I log onto your page I see your posts in a list with a “read more” but that doesn’t happen with mine. They are all there in all their glory!

And how do you get those cute pictures next to each post?
    Any help gratefully received. Thanks.

You must use the MORE prompt that’s available from the kitchen sink area of your WordPress editor window. Wherever you use the MORE prompt, WordPress will automatically insert the “read more” or “continue” link for the rest of the post.
The cute pictures next to the post are “feature images” and that should be available from your post on the right sidebar.

Hi Bonnie, that. Would be great. What is your opinion about Fraps? I imagine because it’s cheaper it wouldn’t be the same quality:)

        • Bonnie Gean

          February 28, 2013 at 12:12 pm

Fraps isn’t anything near Camtasia, for application sake. It’s like comparing apples to oranges.
In fact, Fraps is used more in the online gaming world. Online game-players, such as World of Warcraft and Star Wars, use it to capture their game movements to share on YouTube. It’s not exactly the kind of program you could use to produce YouTube videos for business.
I am a gamer, Debra. I own Fraps. I know what it can and cannot do. You won’t be able to do the type of tutorials you need to with Fraps.

Thanks Bonnie. My step-son mentioned it and I said I would run it by you:) I appreciate the quick response! Yes, I definitely want to do a video tutorial about Outlook.. Camtasia is pretty pricey but seeing what you are doing it’s worth the purchase and makes up for it in the long run.:)

          • Bonnie Gean

            February 28, 2013 at 1:12 pm

The only screen capture Fraps can do is by pressing a button, which spits out a picture. This is all done inside a game.
To give you a better idea of what Fraps can record, look at the following game videos:
            http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIyneP8ppGM
            http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mC1zVKKzvec
I shot both of them with Fraps when I played these games. After creating the video inside the game, you can place them into Camtasia to add music or text on top of the screen Capture that Fraps did, but that’s about it.
In fact, I just booted up Fraps now and it won’t even take a screenshot or record my computer movements. It just works inside of a game.
