Today is day twenty-one of the video blogging challenge, and I want to share a personal experience I had over the weekend that prevented me from finishing my infographics product.
I created a video to explain the details and include text too.

Day 21 – Video Blogging Challenge from Bonnie Gean
The Burglar IncidentI had hoped to work on my infographic package, but I’m beginning to think that there’s a gremlin out there who is throwing wrenches into the works.
I fully intended to sit this weekend, while the partner went out hunting, and have the entire house to myself – to work with PowerPoint!
Instead, I had to deal with police officers being at my door because somebody tried to steal money from us and I had to put a stop to it.
Regrettably, the partner’s weekend for hunting was cut short too; he only had time to hunt for one day, which meant he wasn’t a very happy camper either.
To sleep soundly last night, we had to double padlock the front door and buy a safe with a key and digital pad to lock our money, jewelry and other valuables away.
Taking these steps was fine and dandy but it also prevented me from getting any work done. Additionally, I couldn’t watch television or get onto the Internet because our cable line was cut and needed repair.
I’m telling you, my friend, when it rains in this house – it pours! It’s like someone is out to get me. You know, if I can’t sleep, I can’t record, if I can’t record, I can’t produce my work. If I can’t produce work, I can’t pay attention to anything else.
Hopefully the rest of this week will be smooth sailing.
I had several people contact me about the barter proposal, and I appreciate everyone who took the time to get in touch with me. I believe I’ve chosen the person who will barter with me.
No worries because you never know what the future holds. I might need to barter again for more written work so keep your eyes peeled and ears open!
As much as I enjoy talking with you, I can’t continue this blog post. I am unable to keep my mind focused for very long because, after a burglary attempt, I am playing the “what if” scenario in my head.
What if I had done this or what if I hadn’t done that; would things have played out differently over the weekend? Naturally, I find it difficult to concentrate and for that I apologize.
What did you do over the weekend? Leave a comment below and let me know.
