Today is day twenty-two of the video blogging challenge, and today I talk about how disgusted I am on the amount of educational videos I’ve recorded. Or should I say, the lack of them?
There’s a video to watch and text if you prefer to read.

Day 22 – Video Blogging Challenge from Bonnie Gean
Today is about how many YouTube videos I have created and why I’m upset that I’ve only done 209. Now you might be sitting there thinking, “Wow, that’s a lot of videos!” Yes, it is, but when you decipher what those videos consist of, it’s nothing to brag about to mom.
Let me explain…
I’ve done three video blogging challenges; in fact, I finished the first two and recorded 60 videos. Right now, I am offering another video blogging challenge, and we are on day number twenty-two.
I created 30 videos for Tiffany Lambert’s video blogging challenge and an additional 30 videos from the first video blogging challenge I held in March of this year.
In addition, the current video blogging challenge is on the twenty-second day, which brings the total VBC videos to a total of 82.
After Tiffany’s challenge, I record a video every Sunday for 41 weeks. Add the Video Sunday recordings to the challenge recordings, and it’s a total of 123 videos.
Subtract the 123 videos from the 209 sitting inside my YouTube account and we come to a total of 86 “how to” videos.
That’s 86 “how to” videos in a two-year period. Not very impressive in my book! Considering there are 52 weeks in a year and I’m in my third year of producing video, I should have well over 130+ of educational videos and I don’t.
I am disappointed that I only have 86 instructional videos to share with you, and that’s just not right in my book. I’ve decided to fix this little discrepancy in my YouTube account and get busy creating more “how to” videos for you!
I also want to recommend that you go back through your current videos and add a “call to action” or a clickable subscribe link to the end of all your videos!
It’s much easier to do this if you just started creating videos during my latest challenge, but if your YouTube account has more than 100 videos, this step will take some time. I would suggest doing several videos every day until they’re all fixed!
Since I have 209 videos beckoning my name, I need to get busy. If you’re in the same boat, let me suggest that you get started adding links to the tail end of your videos asking viewers to subscribe to your YouTube channel!
How many videos do you currently have available for your peeps? Leave a comment below and let me know!
