Today is the third day into the video blogging challenge and I’m putting on my BIG boots to give you a swift kick where it counts most.
If you don’t care to watch the video, there’s text included below.

Day 3 – Video Blogging Challenge from Bonnie Gean
The storms blew through my area in the late avenue and caused quite a stir. There were torrential downpours with thunder and lightning, which prevented me from being near the PC.
I was able to get the video recorded, but I didn’t want to take a chance of editing it on the PC while the storms were raging outside. So today, you’ll get two videos instead of just one. 🙂
The Time Problem
I want to talk about the lack of time because it seems to be a similar problem across the board when it comes to producing video. Many of you claim you cannot participate in the video blogging challenge because it doesn’t fit your schedule.
I am hearing, “I don’t have time to do it right now” or “I’m too busy” and “It can’t fit into my existing schedule”.
Okay, so let’s talk about a quick solution to this time problem.
I’ve been in business for 20+ years, and I certainly understand the concept of never having enough time to get my work done. I’ve also learned that if you curb your time usage on one thing, it frees up time to use on something else.
Maybe you could spend two minutes less reading your email or browsing around a social media website. Perhaps this would give you the time needed to work on producing a video?
Normally, I wouldn’t bother you about relinquishing some time to work on something else, but video happens to be one of the quickest ways for you to grow a community that knows, likes and trusts you.
The fact that I’m hearing nobody has time to “connect” with people via a video is very mind boggling to me. What could be more important for your business than building relationships?
As an Internet marketer and business owner, you need a community. You need to grow a fan base so you can build a successful business.
But you’re willing to cut out one of the best marketing and promotional methods to reach this very goal, all because you believe you don’t have time.
Statistics from Digital Sherpa
I did a quick search on video statistics and here’s what I found:
- Video increases the understanding of your product or service by 74%.
- YouTube happens to be the number TWO search engine in the world.
- One-third of all online activity is spent watching video!
- 50% of users watch “business related videos” on YouTube every week!
- 75% of users visit the marketer’s website after watching the video.
The statistics speak volumes! You should sit back and contemplate if you really want to MISS OUT on this golden opportunity.
Instead of making the excuse that you don’t have the time, you should change this bad habit into one that will benefit your business. Ask… HOW you can make time to produce a video every week?
Video gives you the opportunity to shine among the crowd. It allows you to let your hair down and be personable with a group of people, to make friends and build relationships.
So no more excuses! I don’t have time for them (pun intended).
I am making the time to sit in front of a video camera to speak with you. I would hope you change your mind and make the time to do it too!
