Today is day twenty-six of the video blogging challenge, which means we have five more videos to create. On Friday, the challenge comes to an end.
There’s a video to watch and text if you prefer to read.

Day 26 – Video Blogging Challenge from Bonnie Gean
What I Completed Last Week
It was a busy week for me, and I hope yours wasn’t as busy as mine. What kept me so busy? Here’s what I covered in the last week during the video blogging challenge:
How a Burglar Stole My Weekend Productivity

Do Your YouTube Videos Need Some Link Juice?

How to Create an Appealing Video Cover in PowerPoint

How to Create a Starburst in Photoshop

How to Transcribe an Audio File into a Blog Post

I love creating how-to tutorials to teach you. If you are on a budget, the tutorials are especially handy because they help you create graphics (the easy way) rather than outsourcing the job and costing you money.
I love doing video blogging challenge, but when you add the idea of creating videos while I’m also participating in three blogging challenges, it takes quite a toll on the schedule.
Additionally, I also create graphics for customers (when I am not creating videos) so there is much time left to do anything else. My partner walks in the door after work and we sit down to supper.
Naturally, I spend some time with him before he is off to bed, and then I sit back at the computer again to work on more projects. Can you imagine the schedule I keep?
I do it because I enjoy helping you, so if there are any other tutorials you need, please don’t hesitate to mention them in the comment section below! Give me more work, please! LOL
To My Video Blogging Challenge Crew
I hope you’ve had a lot of fun and made a ton of friends. You should have gained some new subscribers on your YouTube channel too!
Even though, you sat in front of a video camera, and created face to face videos, there are plenty more videos you can create.
Why not try making some PowerPoint presentations to share on Slideshare.net and other websites? Keep busy building your video portfolio and grabbing link juice from Google and YouTube!
Get your videos showing inside of Google, so more people can click on those clickable subscribe links at the end of your video and subscribe to your list.
Enjoy video marketing, folks! Get out there and be comfortable in front of the screen to build a bigger community.
How I Intend to Finish the Week
The remainder of the week, I’m not quite sure what kind of video tutorials I’ll have in store. I do know that I want to show you how to add captions to your YouTube videos because I think they’re very important.
Captions add link juice and some Google juice power behind your videos, and that’s something as a video marketer that you can take advantage of with every video you create!
Okay, I have errands I need to run so I must skedaddle.
Now it’s your turn. What will you work on this week? Leave a comment below and let me know!
Thanks for reading,
– Bonnie
P.S. Did you enjoy this message? If so, please share it with your friends so they can benefit from schmoozing. Then, if you want to get more messages like this one, connect with me via my social links below or hop aboard my notification list. I would like to keep in touch.
Wow, there’s seems a lot more I have to learn on blogging (for business or otherwise). I too should take up the challenge to gain more experience and traffic as well.
Recording and sharing videos is FUN stuff, Renz. You get better and better with each video you create and the more you record, the more your community grows.
I think you ought to give it a try. If you’re afraid to get in front of the camera, you could still produce TIPS videos and take advantage of video marketing!
I’ve never tried making a video – maybe some day!
Why not, Laurel? I think you have tons to share video-wise. The equipment really isn’t all that expensive and it’s totally easy to learn how to record, edit and upload to YouTube.
Bonnie,
I can’t believe it’s our last week. I’ve really enjoyed being a part of this challenge. I had not idea how intensive my PicMonkey tutorials would become. One turned into two and now I’ll probably end with more than 30 videos, which I do intend to bundle and sell.
I have had a couple of new sign ups to my main website, but my subscribers have taken off on You Tube for the Graphic Ease channel. Seems that every time I log in, the number has gone up.
I’ve looking forward to continuing with video in the coming months and into 2015. I will probably do a talking head once a week. I enjoy making video versus writing sometimes.
Thanks again for hosting the challenge!
Hi Cynthia,
I loved doing the 30-day video blogging challenge. Even though, I had the accident in October of 2014, I still feel the need to add the last four videos to complete the challenge. Would you, if it were you?
Did you bundle all your PicMonkey videos yet? You mentioned you were going to sell them as a bundle after the challenge was over. I was just wondering if you’ve done that yet and ask how well the sale went?
RE: YouTube Subscribers
We need to have a few more video blogging challenges. I’ll look into making a new schedule for this year.
Like you, I need to get back into the swing of things for making videos. I held off at the beginning of the year because I didn’t want to create video with an oxygen tube sticking out of my nose.
I look forward to watching more of your videos too.
– Bonnie
Ha ha, I haven’t even finished the last two – lost momentum, but I will do them. And to answer your question, yes, I’d do the last two. I think your tutorials for using PowerPoint was awesome. A lot of people are looking for quality learning resources for that program and you’re it girlfriend!
I’m looking into creating a course to place on Udemy, so I might just bundle the PicMonkey series and place on their for free and then offer the paid course with extensive training. Not sure yet.
Yes, my subscriber list went through the roof with the 30 day challenge. I’m actually doing video once a week on the new internet marketer blog and seriously need to get back to Graphic Ease.
I need to sit my fanny down and come up with a content creation list and schedule, that way I know what to prepare material for. Maybe that’ll be my project for the weekend.
Let me know when the next challenge is. I’m already there. : D
Hi Cynthia,
The last video I posted was on Day 26, so I still need to add the last four to finish off the challenge. I did start Day 27 because I was working on converting the audio to text for YouTube.
I didn’t have any idea what the other three videos would be about, but I believe I should finish the challenge since I was the one who initiated it for the rest of you. 🙂
Thank you for the nice words about my PowerPoint tutorials. It’s easier to create tutorials when I know someone has a specific question. If you want me to show you a new tutorial, could you give me some direction on what type to create? Thanks!
Your idea for the PicMonkey bundle sounds wonderful. I would give people access to a free version and then offer an upgrade to a paid course on Udemy. Let me know how well the setup works for you.
Feel free to share your content schedule with my readers, Cynthia. If you would like to offer a guest post on BonnieGean.com, where you discuss the change in your schedule. I would welcome it. 🙂
I will let you know when I do another video blogging challenge. Thanks for your interest, girlfriend!
– Bonnie
As soon as I have my content schedule made out, I’ll be more than happy to share. LOL
Thank you, Cynthia.

Hey Bonnie – so I have added a title to my video via YouTube for the very first time. I also added a subscribe link at the end. I still need to work a little more on these things but I have made a start.
I want to be able to use video as a list and community building tool, just like you have.
Have a great week 🙂
It takes consistency, Victoria. It doesn’t matter if they join your YouTube channel or your mailing list. Either way, you have a way to stay in touch. You can sell just as easily through video (and sometimes even more so) as you can selling from a blog review.
Try it… and see if it doesn’t work for you too!
You make a really good case for video blogging Bonnie and I do have to agree. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to take up your challenge 🙂
I hope you take up the challenge sooner, rather than later. The longer you wait to get started, the more time you have to talk yourself out of doing video.
Take the plunge, Salma. Create a video per week, then gradually increase the amount you do each week.
See if it doesn’t make a difference with growing a community. I bet it will! 🙂
Thank you for these amazing tutorials. Getting more JUICE in any capacity is always helpful and needed… so I would like to see more of that. Also a case study on how this has helped you 🙂 Like a before and an after..
Thanks BONNIE
Wow, if you want a before picture – I had better get one done now before I continue with more juicing. 🙂 Thanks for telling me what interests you, Tamala.
