As you may or may not know, I am all about building community. For me, any tool available from the Internet that is likely to make me a better blogger AND build community at the same time is definitely a tool I want to know and try out.
I chose to review Blogging with John Chow as a result of following Tiffany Dow and seeing subtle changes with her blogging. I knew they were the result of reviewing, learning, and implementing John’s proven blogging system. So, I opted to buy the product and put it to the test myself.
Why Learn From John Chow?
John Chow is best known for taking his blog from $0 earnings to over $40,000 a month within two years. This makes his blog one of the most lucrative blogs in the world and I want to know how he does it.
That’s the main reason I want to learn from John Chow. This dude earned almost a half million dollars, in a year, from one blog! It’s amazing what this man has accomplished and I want to follow in his footsteps. They say when the student is ready the teacher will appear. So be it, I’m ready.
What’s in the Sales Letter?
The Blogging with John Chow sales letter includes a 9-minute video and sales text. The video held my interest for the entire duration. John seems like a very nice man and eager to help people.
His demeanor made me feel comfortable and I was nodding my head because I could relate to his story. He shares 2 rules for success and I agree with them because they work on more than just blogging.
I like the way he doesn’t beat around the bush – he tells you what he thinks. This mindset is what draws me to Tiffany Dow’s blog, too. As I read through the sales letter, I get the feeling that he really wants to help you grow a blog that earns money.
John introduces his partner, Peng Joon, talks about their credentials, the lifestyle you can enjoy if you’re willing to work at blogging, and the individual modules revealing what the course entails.
In the modules, you’ll learn:
- How your blog can stand out in the marketplace.
- Top secrets to establish yourself as an authority in any niche.
- How to run a blog on autopilot & manage it a few hours, weekly.
- What to do and what to avoid.
- Better ways to monetize any blog in any niche.
- How to pick a good domain.
- Plugins you shouldn’t overlook
- How to brand your blog.
- How to leverage social networking (oh, you know I like to schmooze!)
- How to use other platforms to deliver your content.
- How to engage with your blog readers.
- How to build your affiliate network.
- The benefits of using RSS feeds.
- Linking strategies.
- Driving massive traffic to your pages.
More importantly, you don’t need any previous experience, blog or technical experience. Even if you’re completely new to blogging or have limited time to devote, you can still make money doing this.
I love the phrase written at the bottom: Failure is not an option. I had the same quote engraved on the back of my iPad, when I ordered it in 2011. I definitely share his beliefs about building community and blogging.
How Was the Ordering Process?
I paid $37 for Blogging with John Chow. I was offered 2 one-time offers (OTOs): Blogging Done For You, a way to boost results for $47 a month and John’s Blogging Automation Empire Modules, which shows you how to tap into the leverage of outsourcing.
I didn’t buy any of the additional offers because I’d rather take my time reading and implementing the main material. I don’t want the work done for me because I don’t learn that way. Besides, I’d rather do my own testing and tweaking.
At first, I didn’t really care for the ordering process. I got flustered when his membership area wouldn’t work after I paid through Clickbank. Apparently, they were moving the member area to a completely different hosting provider, which caused an interruption in the service.
Thanks to Tiffany Dow’s help, I managed to get in touch with John directly and within 30 minutes he provided me with a username and password. For my troubles, he gave me lifetime access to his OTOs. His quick action showed me he cares about his customers and I would buy from him again.
It’s getting late so I’ll continue part 2 of the review in a day or so if there is time before Christmas. I’ll start with the content inside the member’s area.
