Hi Bonnie,
I’m new to your blog. I wish to say your presentation on how to add PayPal is straightforward and easy to follow. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
Welcome to the blog, Ozichi!
Glad you liked the tutorial. I hoped it helped you get over a technical difficulty. 🙂
Thanks Bonnie. I think my concern is how to set it up for a download. I just finished writing my first art eBook and I know nothing about setting up a download page. Do you have instructions for that? Also how to do a webpage on WordPress. Their templates all look like a blog!
You are so good about explaining things that I sure hope you do.
Have you seen this tutorial, Eva?

Hi Bonnie,
I just subscribed to your YouTube videos. What kind of blog were you using. Can I put a PayPla button on Blogger? I have an eBook I want to sell. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Eva
That’s great Eva… thanks!
Yes, apparently you can add a PayPal button to blogger blogs. Here’s how:

I really appreciate your help! Thanks so much!
No problem! Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with, Eva!
Hi Bonnie. I went through your tutorial and the comments of the other readers. I wish the PayPal site explained things as well as you do!
A quick question or two. If one already has a Premier Account can one apply for the Website Payment Standard without further upgrading? PayPal does not state Premier Business Account in their description (maybe they expect us to know it?:) ) Would that restrict the user from using PayPal to make occasional payments? Thanks in advance!
I’m glad the tutorial was easy to understand, Vatsala. 🙂
Even if you don’t have a Premier Business you can still use the Website Payment Standard buttons without upgrading. This method through PayPal even offers a shopping cart, if you need it.
I already knew how to make this button but I appreciate the video anyways. It was quite detailed and helpful.
I subscribed to your Youtube channel.
🙂
I appreciate you subscribing to my YouTube channel, Timothy! Thanks!
Thanks for sharing. Good explanation in simple terms. I will share this with my customers.
Thanks dear! I hope they like it! 🙂
Bonnie, you never cease to amaze me. I love your videos! I need some of you to rub off on me. Which screencast service do you use? Eydie 🙂
Welcome back to my humble home, Eydie. It’s so nice to see you again!
I use Camtasia “screen recording” software, which is a bit pricey, but worth it in my opinion – if you want to create audio and/or video products.
I’ve used this program since it came out, so I feel I could use it in my sleep. LOL
I’ve been thinking of creating a “how to record great videos using Camtasia” product to show people just how easy it is to create professional videos, but I need to rearrange my office first to fit the big white screen in my room. 🙂
I’d love to see that video, Bonnie! I’ve tried their trial version and I think I’m just hopeless when it comes to using it.
Nice to have been missed. I’ve been out of the UBC for a bit. Couldn’t seem to keep up so I phased it out. If Michelle is starting it up in January again, I think I’ll give it another shot.
Eydie 🙂
To start, I could do a screen recording video to give you an idea of how to use some of the tools inside Camtasia; would this help you? If so, I’ll make it a point to whip one out before the week is over.
The last UBC collided with the “Article Writing Challenge” I held on Facebook in October, so I didn’t do a very good job of keeping up with the daily posts. This was mainly do to the fact that I was writing more than 11,000 words for my Article Writing participants and there wasn’t enough time at the end of the day to write a daily blog post. I wanted to write for my challengers (I gave them daily tasks, etc.)
However, Michelle has mentioned more than once, it’s not about posting 30 posts during the month (although that’s what it implies)… it’s more about writing MORE OFTEN than you normally do, getting extra traffic back to your blog, and building relationships through the challenge.
So don’t feel as if you’re failing when you don’t post daily to your blog. Just as long as you’re posting when you can, you’re fine. Extra traffic from a few blog posts a month is better than no traffic. Right? 🙂
Oh please… don’t rush on that video. Camtasia is not in my budget right now anyway.
Yes… I know the challenge is not necessarily to write 30 blog posts – but I sure did try. I find that I do about one a week.
WOW – that’s a lot of writing! I don’t think I knew about your Article Writing Challenge. I’ll have to investigate that further.
Eydie 🙂
Once a week on your blog? Do you work offline too, Eydi?
Thanks for the fab tutorial Bonnie. I am definitely thinking of adding a PayPal button to my ad page. It will make it loads easier for people who want to purchase to check out 🙂
Louise x
Oh yes, definitely! That’s a great idea, Louise!
Very timely Bonnie, as I created a buy now button a couple of days back but didn’t add the link. So now I know to add that as well. Great video!
Thanks!
Yes and the link works wonderfully well inside an email newsletter! 🙂
Hiya Bonnie.
Been a while I know but I follow your comments on FB…:)
I have read through the PDF file – thanks for that – but I am not sure how to open a Merchant Account. Do you have to be a registered business for that?
Keep up the great work! And thanks for helping us all out.
All you need to do is open a PayPal business account, Ann. Supply a bank account and credit card to verify your information.
Basically, the difference between the a personal PayPal account and a premier business account is the amount of money that one can transfer OUT of the account each month, and more importantly, PayPal requires you to open a Premier Business account if you’re a seller of goods and services and intend to collect money for business transactions.
They don’t like you using a personal PayPal account for business transactions, so apply for the PayPal business account.

Thank you so much for the extra information. I have been able to upgrade to a Premier account. I will keep you updated on my progress.
Best wishes,
Ann
You are most welcome, my dear! Anything I can do to help. 🙂
Hi Bonnie,
A very useful tutorial, thank you for it. I learned it some time ago, but haven’t done it for a while, so this is a great reminder. I will experiment with it, and see what I come up with. 🙂
Best wishes,
Galina
Awesome! Let me know if you get stuck on anything! 🙂
Thanks Bonnie! Always great to watch your quick tips!
Likewise, it’s great to have you here watching them, too! 🙂
Thanks for commenting! How’s the writing coming along?
Thanks Bonnie. Is it the same principle to put an opt in box in a post?
Yes! You can add your subscribe code into a post and/or page and it will work the same way!
Hi Bonnie
Thanks for the helpful instructions. I’ve created buttons on sites before but never thought of doing them in emails using a link.
Joy
Yep, when you create the PayPal button, an email link is always provided too! 🙂
Stop i from ubc hope your day is going good. People who runs those mom and pop shops sure can always be one point up. Thank you for help those who run and own a small business.
Came in from ubc…Coffee is on
You never know when you’ll need to add a payment button to your website. Hopefully when that day comes, you’ll remember this post! Thanks for visiting, Dora!
Thanks for the quick & easy tips. I have created PayPal buttons, but never added the link underneath it in the past.
Always something new to learn.
🙂

Adding a payment link or button is crucial information that some need to know. I wasn’t certain whether people wanted a button or link so I provided both. 🙂
The link also works in email, which is a PLUS!
Nice to see you stopping by again, Debra! How are those dancing shoes? 🙂
